Dietitian
Competitive marathoner passionate about healthy foods
Katie Hynes is a dietitian and diabetes educator. She works with children, teens and athletes on improving their nutrition and optimizing their blood glucose control.
Hynes earned her master's degree in nutrition and exercise physiology from Teachers College, Columbia University. A former Division I field hockey player who is now a competitive marathoner, she was inspired to change careers and become a dietitian through her passion for movement and fueling the body with healthy foods. Her experience includes working at several pediatric diabetes clinics.
Outside of work, Hynes can be found running and exploring trails throughout the Bay Area as well as creating recipes in her kitchen while her husband and dog anxiously await a taste.
