J. Colin Partridge

Dr. J. Colin Partridge is a neonatologist, a specialist in caring for premature babies and newborns who have birth defects, injuries or disease. He has a special interest in neonatal bioethics.

Partridge and his colleagues are studying the use of advanced MRI and spectroscopy in establishing long-term prognosis after hypoxic-ischemic injury (brain injury resulting from a lack of oxygen) in term and preterm infants. He is a co-investigator on a study of approaches and attitudes to withdrawal of life support in newborns.

Partridge earned his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati and completed a residency in pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and a fellowship in neonatology at California Pacific Medical Center.
