Dr. Anubhav Mathur is a pediatric dermatologist and immunologist who cares for children with all types of skin conditions. He has particular expertise in ectodermal dysplasias, genetic disorders in which structures such as hair, nails, teeth, skin or sweat glands develop abnormally.
Mathur's research focuses primarily on inflammatory skin diseases and the autoimmune response. He is working on new approaches to treating immune-mediated inflammatory diseases that involve manipulating immune cells in the skin and other tissues.
At Indiana University School of Medicine, Mathur received his medical degree and completed a doctorate in microbiology and immunology the same year, then stayed on to complete a residency in dermatology. He completed a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at UCSF.
Mathur has served in leadership positions for several medical associations. He was on the Society for Investigative Dermatology's board of directors and served on a committee within the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance that provides mentorship, training and advocacy for pediatric dermatology fellows early in their careers. He is also a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and American Academy of Dermatology. He has received a pediatric career development award as well as a fellowship award from the Dermatology Foundation.
