Biochemical Genetic Medicine Clinic

The Biochemical Genetic Medicine Clinic provides comprehensive disease management, diagnostic evaluations, genetic counseling and education to children, adults and their families throughout Northern California and surrounding communities living with metabolic and neurological diseases. Patients have access to our broad range of specialists, many of them leaders in the fields of genetics, neurology and metabolic disorders.

We are also certified by the California Children's Services and California Genetic Disease Branch for diagnosing and caring for children with metabolic and neurologic diseases, including newborns.

You'll need a referral from your child's pediatrician or specialist to make an appointment. Once you have the referral, please call the number below.

What to Expect

    During you/your child's first visit, your child will meet with one of our experts who will conduct a thorough physical examination, inquire about symptoms and record your child’s medical history.

    Lab tests, such as blood tests, and imaging tests, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computerized tomography (CT) scans may also be recommended or ordered.
