Psychiatry & Psychology Clinic

The Pediatric Psychiatry and Psychology Clinic is nationally renowned for leading-edge treatment and research in children's mental health. We provide care for a wide range of emotional, behavioral and cognitive issues in children, teens and young adults.

Our experienced team includes psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers and psychiatric nurse practitioners. We work together to identify the roots of your child's problems and suggest potential solutions.

We offer short- and long-term individual, group and family psychotherapy. Our care focuses on the family, and we teach parents helpful ways to address their child's issues. When appropriate, we assess whether a patient might benefit from medication, and if so, provide a prescription and monitor response.

For a complete list of mental and behavioral health services at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, including specialized programs for specific conditions, please visit Children's Psychiatry & Psychology.
