How to use crutches
Whether you have had an injury, surgery, or your healthcare provider has written orders for you to use crutches. UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland has created this video as a guideline for safe crutch use. The proper use of crutches seems fairly simple, but if used poorly they can lead to issues such as a new injury or worsening of your current condition. Please feel free to watch all or parts of the video over again until you feel comfortable safely using your crutches.
