Alicia Henson is a dietitian who cares for infants, children and adolescents with digestive disorders. She specializes in helping young patients with fatty liver disease and celiac disease adopt a healthy lifestyle while nurturing a positive relationship with themselves. Her approach involves using nutrition education and counseling to develop each child's abilities to tune in to hunger cues, enjoy physical activity and fully understand what it means to be healthy.

Henson earned her bachelor's degree in food and nutritional sciences from California State University, Fresno and completed an internship in dietetics at Iowa State University. She earned a master's degree in nutrition from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Beyond her professional commitment to caring for patients with celiac disease, Henson shares a personal connection with the celiac community: She herself follows a gluten-free diet.
