Amanda Valceschini is a social worker who primarily cares for pediatric patients in the emergency department. She provides patients and their families with psychosocial assessments, support, resources and referrals.
Valceschini coordinates UCSF's committee on suspected child abuse and neglect. She has a particular interest in working with patients affected by child abuse and other forms of violence.
Valceschini earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and her master's degree in social work, with a specialization in mental health, at San Diego State University. She has been working at UCSF since 2001.
