Hepatologist and gastroenterologist
Medical educator, mom of two and nature lover
Dr. Anne Lyon is a hepatologist and gastroenterologist who cares for patients with all kinds of liver and digestive system conditions, including those requiring liver transplantation. She has a special interest in critical care management of end-stage liver disease.
Lyon's research focuses on medical education, looking particularly at curriculum development to promote mastery of difficult skills and earlier autonomy among trainees. This work integrates her love of education with her passions in patient care.
Lyon earned her medical degree at the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She completed a residency in pediatrics at UCSF, where she also served as chief resident. She completed a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Boston Children's Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric transplant hepatology at Stanford University.
