Dr. Caitlin Costello is a psychiatrist who cares for pediatric patients. She has particular interests in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and tic disorders, medical education and curriculum development, and child and adolescent forensic psychiatry (issues involving psychiatry and the law). She serves as medical director for child and adolescent ambulatory services at UCSF Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital and Clinics, and as associate director for UCSF's fellowship program in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Costello earned her medical degree and completed a residency in psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at New York – Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in forensic psychology at UCSF.
