Pediatric emergency care physician
Dr. Heidi Werner cares for children in the emergency department.
Werner's research focuses on educational curricula development and faculty development. She serves as education committee chair for UCSF's division of pediatric emergency medicine and as co-director of the fellowship program in pediatric emergency medicine.
Werner earned her medical degree at Columbia University's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed a residency and chief residency in pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, followed by a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Boston Children's Hospital. She has a master's degree in health professions education from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, part of the Mass General Brigham health system.
In her free time, Werner enjoys hiking, exercising and cooking, as well as cheering for her two teenage children in their many sports endeavors.
