Marica Baleilevuka-Hart

Dr. Marica Baleilevuka-Hart is a pediatric cardiologist and critical care specialist whose focus is children with heart disease in the cardiac intensive care unit. Her areas of interest include early mobilization (physical activity to improve recovery during hospitalization), inpatient cardiac rehabilitation (customized programs to improve heart health) and rheumatic heart disease (damage to heart valves due to rheumatic fever).

Baleilevuka-Hart earned her medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University, where she also completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology. She completed additional fellowships in pediatric cardiac critical care at Texas Children's Hospital and in pediatric critical care at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

When not in the hospital, Baleilevuka-Hart enjoys being active in nature through running, swimming, snowboarding and hiking.
