Dr. Melissa Martin is a pediatric gastroenterologist who cares for children with digestive and liver disorders. She has special interests in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease (a chronic liver condition linked to impaired metabolism), nutrition and health care inequities.

Martin earned her medical degree from UCSF. At Stanford Medicine, she completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.
