Dr. Snehlata (Sneha) Oberoi is an orthodontist who provides assessment, treatment recommendations and orthodontic care for children with craniofacial anomalies (abnormalities involving the head or face). She also teaches and supervises dental students as well as residents in orthodontics and pediatric dentistry.

Oberoi's research focuses on developing new methods to assess treatment outcomes for cleft lip, cleft palate and other birth defects of the head or face. She also collaborates with medical geneticists at UCSF on research to identify genetic mutations playing a role in various dental and facial defects.

Oberoi earned a bachelor of dental surgery degree at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. She earned her advanced dental surgery degree at Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Karnataka, India. She completed a fellowship in craniofacial anomalies and a certificate in orthodontics at UCSF.

Oberoi has published many articles in scientific journals as well as two book chapters. She serves as a reviewer for the Cleft Palate– Craniofacial Journal, International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry and American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Oberoi is a member of the American Cleft Palate – Craniofacial Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and Indian Orthodontic Society.
