Sonja Swenson is a pediatrician who cares for patients from birth through their teenage years. In the newborn nursery, she welcomes babies into the world and provides support for their families. As a primary care provider, she enjoys counseling parents on a wide variety of topics, including how to develop good nutrition, behavior and sleep habits; manage chronic conditions; and connect with their children, particularly adolescents, as they learn to care for themselves. She has a special interest in breastfeeding and is a certified lactation counselor.

Swenson earned her medical degree at UCSF, where she also completed a residency in pediatrics.

Swenson was born and raised in the Bay Area. In her free time, she can be found at the public library, on the hiking trails, or at the playground with her daughters.
