About me

Dr. Taylor LaFlam is a pediatric rheumatologist, a specialist in caring for children with rheumatic diseases (autoimmune or inflammatory conditions involving the joints, muscles or connective tissues), such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis and lupus.

In his research, LaFlam studies immune system regulation and how it goes awry in autoimmune diseases. He has a particular focus on lupus.

LaFlam earned his medical degree and a doctorate in biomedical sciences at UCSF, where he also completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric rheumatology.
