Dr. Thuan Le is a pediatric dentist who cares for children and adolescents in the clinic as well as the operating room. He provides wellness and preventive dental care in addition to treating complex medical conditions.

Le conducts research on tooth development and inherited tooth defects. He also is interested in studying pediatric dentistry performed under conscious sedation.

Le earned his undergraduate degree and doctor of dental surgery degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed a certificate in pediatric dentistry and earned a doctorate in craniofacial sciences at UCSF.

Le directs UCSF's residency program in pediatric dentistry. In 2013, he was honored with the Academic Senate Distinction in Teaching Award for faculty who have been at UCSF five years or fewer.

Le is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
