Dr. Yvonne Wu is a child neurologist and epidemiologist with expertise in newborn brain injury and cerebral palsy. Her research focuses on developing new strategies to prevent cerebral palsy.
Wu obtained a medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She then completed residencies in pediatrics and child neurology at UCSF. She also earned a master's in public health with a focus on epidemiology at University of California, Berkeley.
Wu serves on the editorial boards of the medical journals Pediatric Neurology and Journal of Child Neurology, and was an elected council member for the Society for Pediatric Research. She has published over 77 papers in medical journals such as Journal of the American Medical Association, The New England Journal of Medicine and Pediatrics.
Wu belongs to the American Pediatric Society/Society for Pediatric Research and the Child Neurology Society. She is a professor of neurology and pediatrics at UCSF. She speaks Mandarin and Spanish.
