Hania Thomas-Adams is a child life specialist whose focus is pediatric patients receiving palliative care. She works with both patients and their siblings on maximizing their coping skills, personal agency and quality of life. To meet these goals, she particularly embraces the techniques of therapeutic play, developmentally appropriate communication and animal-assisted therapy.

Thomas-Adams received her master's degree in education from Mills College.

In addition to caring for children, Thomas-Adams has taught at the graduate level on grief and loss.

I am passionate about helping young people feel seen and respected. I'm not afraid to talk about hard things, and I am honored to do this work.
