Kun Lu is a nurse practitioner who cares for children as they prepare for and recover from heart surgery.

Lu is involved in research examining the use of medical alert cards to provide continuity of care for children with complex heart disease.

Lu earned her master's degree in nursing, with a focus on primary care pediatrics, from the Yale School of Nursing. At the UCSF School of Nursing, she completed additional training in pediatric acute care nursing and earned her doctor of nursing practice degree.
