Feeling at home
Makiko Omori is a dietitian who provides nutrition counseling and education to children and their families, including those receiving blood and bone marrow transplants. She cares for infants, children and adolescents with special nutritional needs, while taking into account each patient's medical needs, home environment and social environment, as well as individual preferences and goals.
After earning her bachelor's degree in dietetics at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Omori completed a dietetic internship at UCSF. She is a board-certified specialist in pediatric nutrition.
Omori is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
