Maricar Aguilar Tabios is a social worker who cares for pregnant women and women who have just given birth. She provides counseling, community referrals and other types of supportive services during hospitalization. She also provides support to parents and other caregivers when their babies need intensive care.
Tabios earned her master's degree in social welfare, with an emphasis on direct practice in health settings, from the University of California, Berkeley. She has extensive experience working in community mental health, caring for youths and their families.
Tabios is a member of the National Association of Perinatal Social Workers.
