Fetal surgery firsts
The first open fetal surgery in the world was performed at UCSF in the early 1980s.
Paula Price is a senior physician assistant who specializes in both adult and pediatric heart surgery, as well as postoperative care in the intensive care and transitional care units.
Price earned her undergraduate degree at Tulane University, followed by a physician assistant degree and a master's degree in public health from San Jose State University.
