Traveler and audiobook enthusiast
Rehimat Momoh-Mendy is a nurse practitioner who evaluates children scheduled to have general anesthesia for surgeries or nonsurgical imaging procedures. Her goals are to ensure that patients will be safe under anesthesia and that they and their families are prepared. She collaborates with doctors, surgeons and other providers so that patients receive the best possible care. She also helps manage children's post-op pain to promote healing and improve well-being.
Momoh-Mendy earned her master's degree in nursing at UCSF. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Before joining UCSF, she worked as a bedside nurse and primary care nurse practitioner for children.
When she's not caring for her patients, Momoh-Mendy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, hiking while tuned in to an audiobook, listening to Afrobeat music or watching period dramas.
