Tessa Rubin

Tessa Rubin is a family nurse practitioner who cares for individuals and families. She collaborates with her patients to identify their health goals and plan pathways to achieving them. Her special interests include preventive care, reproductive health and contraception management, and gender-affirming hormone therapy.

Rubin earned her master's degree in nursing at UCSF. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, and she had special training on caring for adolescents and young adults through the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health Program.

Rubin co-founded UCSF Street Nursing, a program that provides care to unhoused and marginally housed people in San Francisco. When not caring for patients, she enjoys cooking and baking, knitting, singing and exploring the outdoors.
