Social worker
Sarah Kinnier is a social worker who cares for children with kidney disease, including those on dialysis and those receiving a kidney transplant. She provides a full range of services, including supportive counseling, resource referrals, psychoeducation (information that helps patients understand and cope with illness) and advocacy.
Kinnier earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Arizona and a master's degree in social welfare at the University of California, Berkeley. She is a member of the Society for Transplant Social Workers.
