Wen Ong is a marriage and family therapist with particular expertise in treating young children and adolescents, as well as patients with dual diagnoses. Her techniques include family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and expressive art therapy. She provides assessments and therapy in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Ong earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Washington. She completed a master of arts degree in counseling psychology at John F. Kennedy University.

Before joining UCSF in 2010, Ong provided counseling services in several settings, including a child, youth and family outpatient clinic, an adult residential treatment facility and a school.
