Pediatric gastroenterologists at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital diagnose and manage digestive, nutritional and liver disorders in infants, children and teens up to 21 years old. We treat a wide range of conditions including malabsorption syndromes, such as celiac disease and cystic fibrosis, feeding problems and swallowing disorders, gastroesophageal reflux, diarrheal and motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatitis, short bowel syndrome, liver failure requiring artificial liver support or liver transplant and intestinal failure, including cases that require intravenous or tube feedings and small intestinal transplant.

Our program is ranked among the top pediatric gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
