Our Pediatric Hypertension Program provides multidisciplinary evaluation and care for children with high blood pressure and is the only such program in the region. Our expert team of doctors, nurses, dieticians and social workers offers specialized services tailored to your child's unique needs.

While many people think of high blood pressure as an adult condition, children and teens can develop it as well. Uncontrolled high blood pressure in a child may slowly damage the heart, brain, kidneys and eyes. It also can cause a variety of symptoms including headaches, chest pains, stomachaches and difficulty sleeping.

The normal range for blood pressure depends on your child's sex, age and height. A diagnosis of hypertension in children requires an expert assessment to properly understand the cause of the high blood pressure and available treatments.

Our experienced team will generate a personalized plan for managing your child's high blood pressure. In addition, we take part in research studies to learn more about promising new medicines to treat high blood pressure in children. We can offer the latest medicines, if they are right for your child.
