Rheumatology

The Pediatric Rheumatology program at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals offers expert care to children of all ages suffering from rheumatologic and inflammatory diseases involving the joints, muscles and connective tissues, such as juvenile arthritis, lupus, scleroderma and vasculitis. Rheumatic diseases behave differently in children than in adults and often call for different types of therapies and treatments, so the rheumatologist treating your child will be a pediatric specialist. In fact, our whole team of providers – doctors, nurses, occupational and physical therapists and others – work only with children. Our goal is to provide your child and family with comprehensive, coordinated care.
